Workforce Development Certifications for Qualified Candidates

The Whitmore Economic Development Group (WEDG), Friends of Waimanalo, and EGH Safety Hawaii are offering low-cost workforce development training in Wahiawa, HI.

Training Tracks and Certifications:● OSHA 10-Hour● CPR / First Aid / AED● PIT - Forklift / Scissor Lift Operation● Fire Prevention● Machine Guarding● Health Hazards/Silica● Workplace Violence● Globally Harmonized System (GHS)
Eligibility and Requirements:● 18 years or older with a valid government issued ID● Must attend all classes in the program to receive certificates● Dress code: work attire (shoes/boots, pants, shirt — no sleeveless/tank tops, skirts, dresses, or slippers)● $50 registration fee

When and where are classes?
Saturdays & Sundays at 1114 Whitmore Avenue, Wahiawa, HI. Location is on the site of the old Dole Plantation truck bays. Visit our Calendar of Events for upcoming scheduled dates.
Can I take the first week of classes in one month and the second week in another month?
No. Each month is designed as a complete training cycle, and participants are required to attend the scheduled training dates within the same month. This helps ensure consistency, hands-on learning continuity, and successful completion of certification. If the current month’s schedule does not work for you, we encourage you to apply for an upcoming training date that better fits your availability. Do I need to have experience?
No experience is needed.
Is there a dress code?
Comfortable work attire only (no sleeveless shirts, tank tops, skirts, or slippers). Hard toed shoes or boots are highly recommended!
What is the refund policy?
The application fee is non-refundable. Consideration will be given to attendees who are unable to start the training due to valid reasons.
