  • The Kupuna Digital Literacy Program is a beginner-friendly training designed to help adults ages 55+ build confidence using computers, the internet, smartphones, and essential online tools for everyday life.

  • The program is intended for kupuna and adults age 55 and older who would like to improve their digital skills.

  • No experience is necessary. Beginners are welcome.

  • Priority is for kupuna age 55+, but future sessions may include other adult learners depending on availability.

  • Topics may include:
    Basic computer skillsEmail setup and useInternet browsingOnline safety and scam preventionVideo callingOnline bill pay & banking basicsTelehealth accessUsing Google Docs and FormsSmartphone basicsSocial media basics (optional)

  • Yes. Participants may receive support from instructors and trained digital mentors during class sessions.

  • Some sessions may include youth digital mentors who assist participants in a respectful, supportive learning environment.

  • Program length may vary depending on topic. Currently, planned sessions are expected to run multiple weeks with easy-paced instruction.

  • Schedules may include weekly sessions. Exact dates will be announced before enrollment opens.

  • Our goal is to keep the program low-cost or free whenever funding allows.

  • No. Devices will be provided during training depending on the session.

  • Some funded training may provide eligible participants with devices upon successful completion, subject to availability.

  • We can provide guidance on affordable internet programs and connectivity options.
